July 2007: Bill Northey
Bill Northey was elected in 2006 to serve as Iowa's Secretary of Agriculture. His platform included expanding the use of renewable fuels and encouraging conservation and stewardship. He is a 1981 graduate of Iowa State University (agricultural business major) and holds an MBA from Southwest Minnesota State University. He is a fourth-generation farmer from near Spirit Lake.
